The traditional Barrister Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury College is the only private honors college under Bandar, EPZ, and Patenga police stations in the Chittagong metropolitan area. Established in 1985 as a higher secondary college, it later became affiliated with the National University by introducing Degree (Pass) courses in 1997 and B.B.A. (Honors) courses in 2014. Due to the proximity of the seaport, airport, and Export Processing Zone (EPZ), this area is highly densely populated with people from all over the country. The college has been playing a vital role in providing higher education to this large community.
